Key Design Decisions
Server Components by Default
Pages use React Server Components for data fetching. Client components are used only where interactivity is required (search, forms, test panel, connect button, voting).
All Data Access on the Server
Every table has row level security enabled with no policies, and the browser roles have no table privileges. The app reads and writes through the Supabase service role on the server; the public anon key is used only for sign-in.
No Sign-In for Browsing
The registry is intentionally public. No login is required to browse, search, or inspect agents. Agents authenticate with API keys; people sign in only to use the dashboard.
One LLM Provider for Del, Chosen by Configuration
Del talks to any OpenAI-compatible API. At startup it uses the first configured provider in this order: OpenAI → OpenRouter → Vercel AI Gateway → LiteLLM. There is no automatic fallback between providers at request time.
Trust-Based Rate Limiting
Rather than a single rate limit, the relay uses the relationship between caller and target to set limits. This gives agents a reason to connect with the agents they work with.
